London, 12th July 2021 – The Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the UK (ICCIUK), in collaboration with its members, is launching a brand-new Digital Marketing programme. The course is aimed at supporting Italian citizens living in England who have lost their job or are currently furloughed to re-train and have better chances in their future professional efforts. Promoted by the Consulate General of Italy in London and funded by the Directorate General for Italians Abroad and Migration Policies of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the project is open to up to 70 Italian citizens wishing to become skilled DMs, capable of building digital marketing strategies from scratch and of speaking with authority in this fast-paced industry.

The selected candidates will be able to attend this 50-hour course free of charge. It is structured as 9 online modules and held by DM experts, such as ESCP Business School, Isabella Federico (CEO at WeBizz and former Manager at Google), Sennait Ghebreab (Academic Course Leader Business BA at Istituto Marangoni), Daniele D’Orazi (Digital Marketing Lecturer at Istituto Marangoni and Co-founder at GoGreen Marketing) and Martin Esposito (Communication and Language Consultant). Real-world case studies will also be discussed by Senior Managers of prestigious companies and members of the ICCIUK, such as Campari Group, Ferrero, CNH Industrial, Rocco Forte Hotels, Bellavita Expo, and CasaCosta. As well as the official ICCIUK Certificate in Digital Marketing, participants will also be required to attain the “Fundamentals of Digital Marketing” Certification. This is issued by Google and accredited by Interactive Advertising Bureau Europe (IAB Europe) and The Open University. It will endow attendees with an additional certification on their CV, showing employers that they have a clear understanding of the core concepts of digital marketing and strong digital skills.  At the end of the course, an in-person graduation ceremony will be organised in London.

“We are very excited to launch this new initiative in collaboration with the Consulate General of Italy in London to offer practical support to Italian professionals in these particularly difficult times” says Alessandro Belluzzo, President of the ICCIUK. “Thanks to our widespread network of members we will be able to offer our learners not only the theoretical knowledge which will allow them to obtain an internationally-recognised certification in a fast-growing sector, but also exclusive insight from experts inside the industry through first-hand experiences, bringing additional value to their knowledge”.

“We are proud to announce the launch of this professional refresher and retraining programme,” adds Marco Villani, Consul General of Italy in London. “The project represents the second of its kind offered by the Consulate General after the positive experience of the project in the hospitality sector launched last spring. These are initiatives which benefit our citizens and which we hope will represent a starting or restarting point for those who have been affected by the crisis due to the pandemic. Moreover, I believe the project is an important sign of the State’s attention towards our community in the United Kingdom”.

The selection process will be open from Monday 12th July to Friday 3rd September 2021. The course will start in mid-September 2021.
