Job Purpose:
The Events Manager will be responsible for the planning, coordination and delivery of a wide range of high-profile events aimed at supporting the Italian–UK business community. The role requires a highly organised, proactive and adaptable professional who thrives in a fast-paced, office-based environment and is willing to go the extra mile to ensure excellence in event delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, organise and deliver a portfolio of events (business networking events, conferences, seminars, trade missions, institutional events and social events)
- Manage events end-to-end: concept development, budgeting, logistics, supplier coordination, guest management and post-event reporting
- Liaise with sponsors, partners, members, institutions and external stakeholders
- Coordinate venue sourcing, catering, AV, speakers, branding and materials
- Oversee guest invitations, registrations and attendee communications
- Ensure events align with the Chamber’s strategic objectives and brand identity
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines
- Be present on-site during events, including occasional evenings or weekends
- Monitor event performance and prepare post-event evaluations and reports
- Collaborate closely with internal teams (marketing, membership, operations)
Key Requirements:
- Fluent Italian and English (written and spoken)
- Right to work in the UK
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent)
- 4–5 years of proven experience in events management
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- High level of flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment
- Proactive, hands-on attitude with strong problem-solving skills
- Willingness to work from the office 5 days per week
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail
- Willingness to go the extra mile to deliver outstanding results
Desirable Skills & Competencies:
- Experience working with chambers of commerce, associations or international organisations
- Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills
- Commercial awareness and sponsorship management experience
- Confident communicator with a professional presence
- Ability to manage budgets and negotiate with suppliers
- Experience using CRM systems and event management platforms
- Good knowledge of the Italian–UK business landscape
- Team player with a positive, can-do attitude
