AGM Programme:

The Annual General Meeting 2023 took place on Wednesday 28th June 2023, and for the first time it was held at the Italian Embassy in London. The meeting was an in-person event and we registered a full-house.
The AGM was opened by H.E. The Ambassador of Italy to the UK Inigo Lambertini, who highlighted the importance of the ICCIUK and its role within the Sistema Italia.
The ICCIUK President Alessandro Belluzzo highlighted the difficulties faced by the Chamber in the past few years and the importance of the business relations between Italy and the UK. The President also thanked the Chamber’s staff, Councillors and members for their constant engagement and support of the Chamber’s activities.
The ICCIUK President then started to present the items on the agenda, and ask the members to approve the 2022 accounts, the Auditors’ report and report presented to the Italian Ministry for Enterprises and Made in Italy.
During the AGM, ICCIUK Members were asked to vote to approve the 2023 budget and the report for the current year to 31 December 2023.
ICCIUK members were also asked to vote on the re-election of some of the Councillors of the Chamber’s Board. The Councillors who were re-elected were:

The following resolution concerned the election of new Members of the Council, who were appointed by the Board. The newly elected members were: Sennait Ghebreab, Programme Leader, Fashion Business Undergraduate at Istituto Marangoni and Ernesto Sicilia, Managing Director at Trenitalia UK.
The last formal resolutions were to confirm Mr. Darryl Ashing and therefore Ashings Chartered Accountants as ICCIUK Auditors until the conclusion of the next Annual General Meeting, and the continuation of Maurizio Ghirga, Chief Representative at Bank of Italy and Tony Castagnetti, Founder at Belluzzo Audit, as ICCIUK Honorary Auditors.
Following the Annual General Meeting, guests were invited to join a networking aperitivo kindly sponsored by our member Cosaporto.
During the reception members were able to view a triptych by contemporary artist Fabio Pietrantonio, titled “Confini- Verso il Domani”, presented by our member London Trade Art. This co-ownership project is a visual representation of the union between the Italian institutions of London, tied together by their Italian identity and passion for sustainability.
