The Annual General Meeting 2022 took place on Tuesday 3rd May 2022, and for the first time it took place in the newly refurbished ICCIUK London offices, located in Oxford Circus, 1 Princes Street. The meeting was held in a hybrid format; however, our conference room registered a full house with more than 50 members attending in presence.
The AGM was opened by H.E. The Ambassador of Italy to the UK Raffaele Trombetta, who gave an interesting overview on the business relations between Italy and the UK focusing on the fundamental role of Italian Institutions in the UK.
ICCIUK President Alessandro Belluzzo then started to present the items on the agenda, beginning with the 2021 budget followed by the Chamber’s activities for 2022 and the presentation of the brand-new membership brochure.
During the AGM President Alessandro Belluzzo was elected for his second Presidency mandate:
Alessandro Belluzzo, President of The Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the UK stated:
“I’m honoured to continue on the new journey I started in 2019 thanks to the support of the new Board and our ever-increasing members who are the best representation of ‘Made in Italy’ globally.”
Sir Rocco Forte, Chairman at Rocco Forte Hotels and Alberto Mancuso UK&MEA Country Manager at Intesa Sanpaolo were re-elected as Vice-Presidents together with Maurizio Fazzari, Senior Partner at Caralline Advisors Ltd, who was reconfirmed as ICCIUK Treasurer.
The President, Vice-Presidents and Treasurer re-election was followed by the election of two new Members of the Council of Management: Philippe Steyaert, Managing Director at Ferrero UK and Nicolò Aggogeri, Managing Director at Eni UK. Lastly, Tony Castagnetti, Partner at Belluzzo International Partners has been elected new Honorary Auditor, and he will now be joining Maurizio Ghirga, Chief Representative at Banca d’Italia, whose appointment as Honorary Auditor was reconfirmed.
The AGM ended with a networking reception kindly sponsored by ICCIUK Member Macellaio RC.
