The Post-Brexit Trade and Cooperation Agreement

In collaboration with our members Studio Legale Jacobacci and MacRoberts LLP, we are proud to present this webinar focusing on Brexit and, in particular, on the Trade and Cooperation Agreement (TCA) between the European Union and the UK.

The commercial agreement, reached on 24 December 2020, has marked the end of the post-Brexit transition period, avoiding the risk of a Hard Brexit. With the aim of further investigate this topic, the webinar will provide insights on several key issues regarding the TCA. In detail, the following implications will be covered:

  • TM protection and branding issues;
  • PGI and PDO protection in the UK;
  • key commercial contract terms (e.g. delivery; delivery costs; returns policy; product recall; force majeure; liability – and limitation of liability; and insurance);
  • practical issues and solutions, as well as legal perspective;
  • the UK taking back control of employment laws (fact or fiction?);
  • implications for business under the Withdrawal Agreement if the UK changes employment rights in the UK;
  • recruiting/employing EU and non-EU nationals – the new landscape.
