Dr Adam Marshall, as the Director General of the British Chambers of Commerce (BCC), is a man with his finger on the pulse of British Business. Charged with representing the interests of many thousands of British Businesses, Adam works at the highest level of business, government, and media to tackle many of the key issues facing business today.
The UK, like most countries around the world, has experienced a severe and lengthy shutdown, the impact of which we could not have imagined, even as it began. Now world governments are working on allowing the economies to restart, safely. 
Even after only four months, there is a large rebuild that is necessary, firstly at the rock face of business to get trade moving locally and internationally while adapting to the “new normal”. Secondly, in the government’s approach to the macroeconomy, putting structural and stimulus measures in place to encourage businesses to grow and thrive in a very changed environment. 
Adam will give us insights into how businesses can energise the Renew agenda. As businesses and consumers, we are at crossroads of a consumption, immediately due to Coronavirus while still facing the challenges of climate change and sustainability. Adam will give us the benefit of his insights into what business and governments have in mind for the weeks and months ahead.
