Brexit and Covid-19 are affecting trade between Italy and the United Kingdom. From 2021 data, it emerges that trade between the two countries was worth 26.3 billion pounds, down by 0.3% compared to the year 2020. Above all, Italian exports decreased by 2% while Italian imports from the United Kingdom recorded an increase of 3%.

The Italian Chamber of Commerce for the United Kingdom (ICCIUK) has organised a webinar in collaboration with the Pistoia-Prato Chamber of Commerce, “British market and new rules: focus on logistics and customs”, which will take place on Thursday 7th July, from 10.00 to 11.30 BST.

The webinar will present the British market, the trade relations between the UK and Italy and the impact that the pandemic and Brexit generated on the economic relations between the two countries, with a focus on sectors that characterise the Pistoia-Prato area: clothing and fashion, agri-food, railways.

The introduction by ICCIUK will be followed by a presentation of Giorgio Poggio, Managing Director of Aprile UK Limited, focused on the new rules in the customs and logistics field, providing the information tools necessary to continue exchange activities between the two countries.
